With a randomly chosen article from Wikipedia and our new knowledge of typography, the assignment was to utilize the article's text and design a 12 page booklet that focused on typography. Armed with the 'Barney & Friends' article, I decided to apply the classic Barney color palette of green and purple, using this across the whole booklet. Pull quotes were made to resemble the green tummy of the character, with the rest of the text filling up Barney's form.
I also decided to depart from the rounded, child friendly typeface that one might expect from the children's show, and opted for black lettering that worked as a more sinister, adult like content. This also complemented the content of the Wikipedia article which included a breakdown on characters' personality traits, and harsh information on controversies surrounding the show.
