Reverwey Films is a new contemporary film production company, located in the UK. Their main ethics surrounding "Greener shooting", being more sustainable for the environment, and being a collaborative and inclusive space for fellow filmmakers to come and either sub-contract to them for their services, and/or possibly showcase their work.

The business currently operates on the one 'platform'. They create promotional videos for small-medium businesses, which they use for marketing material predominantly. However, they have done campaigns, crowdfunding, product launches, training videos and documentaries.

With the success of the rebrand, this coming year Reverwey Films plans to create and produce its second ‘platform’, a subsidiary company that focuses on creating a digital space where we plan to help filmmakers from low socio-economic backgrounds, different races, ages and disabilities. The filmmaking industry is not the most inclusive of places or careers... Via this platform they will run a script consultancy, people of all backgrounds can send their scripts/ideas in and if it's good enough they will then help fund it, operate the pre-production, find the crew, hire the kit, edit and help enter it into film festivals and other numerous competitions.

This sold me on their business, after hearing their values and future plans, I not only wanted to be a part of helping them achieve their goals, but become a part of their story, their movement.

The brief was complex and very open for me experiment with my ideas. The information i was given said It had to represent a Green ethos, a dreamlike, escapism  feeling. With things that symbolise the dreamlike element like a night sky lit up by bright stars, the moon, forestry imagery and just altogether other worldly-ness.

A primary word that was repeated throughout our correspondences was a redwood tree. This focus on escapism by using forestry was very intriguing and inspired me to focus on illustrative based designs that could include all of these requests. They wanted a design that had some "cleverness" to it, something that was unique and eye catching that has not been done before. This was a challange in itself.

The Typography used had to be bold and striking, but not fancy or decorative to take away the attention from an already busy and large icon-mark. Using opposite font styles to put the focus in the brands name 'REVERWEY' was requested and essential as they plan on promoting themselves under that title. 'Films' However needed to be smaller as they could interchange that for different sectors in their business.
The colour palette were very specific, focusing on incorporating the northern lights into the logo, in particular the purples, blues and the light greens, but not too much as to represent Halloween.
