Istria's intangible cultural heritage on national and UNESCO lists
::CROATIAN::

::ENGLISH::
A big black triangle is visible on the cover. Upon holding the catalogue for longer in hands and touching its surface, the triangle loses its blackness and additional photographs emerge, revealing the intangible cultural heritage of Istria. By using thermochromic ink that disappears when exposed to the heat of one’s palms, the author metaphorically wanted to portray an intangible culture which is not as easily visible as material heritage.
It conveys the message that the intangible cultural heritage needs to be preserved and nurtured, and that one should remain tactile and patient when creating it…
Throughout the graphic design of the cover and the interior part of the catalogue, the dominant colour is “pink” (colour of skin) as an emphasis on the importance of man in creating intangible cultural heritage.
