Combining two different typefaces and making it in an abstract form is quite challenging through their different styles of shape, size, and weight. Every letter in the alphabet has its own special characteristic in them that makes it that specific font. Here, we observe two typefaces that are Proxima Nova, and Baskerville, which is one serif, and a sans serif. Through the process, I thought of emphasizing weight and scale from the letters chosen. Deciding on these contrasts between each other, it provokes a sense of hierarchy. This is by showing their strongest part of their form. Whether it’s either the tail, crotch, stroke, or stem, portraying each abstract form with its own boldness, it will create a consistent pattern within each letter. Therefore, these abstract forms are given to portray a style that gives it a sense of flow through pointing out each letter of their characteristics
Composition 1: Here shows the lowercase Baskerville font font e in a bigger scale with the capital Proxima Nova font E as it connects the end of the the legs to the top stroke of the lower case e. Showing the lowercase e's hierarchy gives its contrast as it connects with the other e.
Composition 2: Here shows the bottom stroke of the capital Baskerville J surrounding the lowercase proxima nova j. This gives its contrast though the placement of the lowercase j located where the aperture of the capital J is as where the ball terminal is linear with the dot of the j below it.
Composition 3: These are the letter h where I have combines two of the sans serif and serif together as one continuous curve. The stroke of the sans serif smoothly transitions with the terminal of the serif h above it giving its
Composition 4: The two different letter L's give complimentary between each other through the hierarchy of the scaled crotch of the capital sans serif L as it encloses the lower case serif l being linear against the leg.
Composition 5: The two san serif b's shows its similarities through their bowl curves. While the capital b emphasizes its bowls, the lowercase b shows contrast through the hierarchy of the bottom of the letter form.
