This was a project I created for my Arts 222 - Intro to Graphic Design class at Liberty University. For this project I was asked to create a trifold travel brochure for a location of my choice. I chose to take this project as a chance to explore the beautiful country of Finland because Finland has a close place in my heart for me as some of my family is from here and I would like to travel here myself one day. I wanted to draw attention to the beauty of Finland and the many things it has to offer, so chose pictures strategically. I wanted my audience to feel like they can travel to Finland and be relaxed and enjoy their stay, so I chose three words to go along with that theme to catch their attention on the cover. On the inside I decided to use the northern lights, which are commonly seen in Finland, to sort of overlook the many things that can be done throughout the country of Finland. I chose to stick with a white background for the brochure to represent the beautiful snow that Finland often gets in the winter. All of these decisions allows for a cohesive brochure that leads the audience into an imaginative Finland experience.
