Legacy Land Conservancy, an environmental organization located in Michigan, needed a logo redesign for their upcoming 50th anniversary. They wanted to keep the original nest logo as well an incorporate their brand's teal color.
The initial drawings went through a lot of versions. We settled on a gold theme for the eggs, as it's their "golden" anniversary, and incorporated some gold into the nest as well. In addition, we created a ribbon detail using LLC's teal.
They wanted the ribbon to look organic and flowing, as well as a metallic shine effect on the eggs. To make the "50 Years" legible at a small size, we settled on a dark brown. Black was too harsh.
We also created a golden egg logo without the ribbon.
I created a variety of versions of the logo with and without the ribbon, as well as with and without the tagline.
I also created a few monochrome versions of the logo for print items.
