Branding Project: Logo | Package Design.
OVERVIEW:
SoNo 1420 American Craft Distillers is a craft distillery that produces ultra-premium, alternative grain, distilled spirits. Drawing inspiration from the defeat of Prohibition, Sono 1420 is a reference to the Connecticut State Senate's vote of 14 to 20 that failed to ratify the 18th Amendment, making Connecticut the first – of only two - states to defeat Prohibition. Continuing that defiant spirit Sono 1420 leverages the use of hemp in its mash that created a unique product and was in need of design that showcased the history and heart of its story.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS:
• Create a premium design that hints to the point of difference, the hemp mash, of the brand but is not overhanded in its communication.
• Allow the design to speak to the local history of South Norwalk, CT.
• The design should have the ability to be manipulated to allow for the product line to expand in the future.
