Walking Books (bookend and sculpture)

Walking Books is a bookend and sculpture that proposes to the reader in an attractive and even sensual way, the idea of ​​a walk or a journey through a book story, an object that seeks to be an invitation to the reading habit.

The name of this art object was influenced by the hit song "These Boots Are Made for Walkin' " composed by Lee Hazlewood for Frank Sinatra's daughter, Nancy Sinatra.

These "Books" are made for walking and thats just what they’ll do

Sight:
Sculptural and functional piece, it has two different possitions and several colors available in a glossy, solid and translucent finish, which makes it versatile and fun.

Touch:
Polished finish and soft to the touch, made of resin, this piece has a considerable weight for it size.

About theDesigner:
Victoria Molina is a Mexican designer and artist who reuses everyday materials to give them new meanings, always striving to offer designs that trigger positive social changes or improve the lifestyle of users.

An in Industrial Design graduated (Magna Cum Laude) from University of Monterrey, Mexico, selected as "Emerging Designer" by Architectural Digest Magazine Mexico (2013) and "Mexican Design Icons 2013" finalist, shortlisted for the National Stainless Steel Prize (2009), and an artist specializing in collage and mixed media, Molina enjoys working with different materials, ranging from magazines to food, as well as blurring the boundaries between design and art.
