In light of recent events in the US and the Black Lives Matter movement, we have taken a step back to evaluate the way we plan and run our events. We realise that we are not perfect and can always strive to do better. We have always aimed to be as inclusive as possible at every event we run and we are now adopting an improved policy for sourcing speakers company wide. We will be transparent with our policy by posting it on our future event listings and aim to champion diversity within our industry.

We know that in times like this it can be hard to know how we can help as individuals. This past week the team have been discussing what we as individuals can do for the movement. We know now that undoing systemic and ingrained racism starts with us. We need to unlearn, relearn, raise awareness, educate ourselves and those around us, sign petitions and financially support the BLM movement.

As this is an ongoing issue we think it is important that we keep the conversation going beyond this time to continue to better ourselves and the world that we live in.
