CORE2291 Design Lab 1: Project 6 Identity Design
I was given two choices in order to carry on with this project. The first option was to create a logo for a food service, to which I would be creating business letters, menus, and merch.  The second option was create a logo for myself, another association to my identity as an artist.  I chose the second choice and I'm very excited about this project.
Identity Design Techniques
1.  I used my initial sketches as templates for my project. On the left is my color palettes. I made a second set just in case I wanted to change any colors, which I did manage to change one in the end.
2.  Finished logo, one with a teal shadow and one without.
3.  I was told by my professors that it is good to experiment and find alternative logo arrangements.  I never used the middle logo in the end, but it does look nice.
4.  Work in progress for my resume.  Not shown in this step are my business cards, cover letter, and references page.
5.  Finished email signature for future use.  Perhaps outside of class I'll use my logo more often.  We'll see.
6.  Final Moodboard!
Visual Exploration:  Mind Map, Moodboard, & Initial Sketches
Mind Map:  Quick things that I associate with myself.  Apologies if it's too messy to read into!  If it's not clear enough, I liked modern typefaces contrasting with the frog motif.  I also added lily pads as a common symbol relating to frogs.
Mood Boards:  While this mood board may look a little bit barren, I still want to show off the frog designs I had in mind for my logo.  They're a big part of my identity and I want to incorporate it in some way.
This mood board illustrates the technical side of how I want my business card, resume, and shapes to be like.  I liked finding unique shapes I could use for my business cards.
Additionally, I took inspiration from video games I liked to use as inspiration.  I love how colorful and sleek they are, oozing out personality and charm all on their own.
Lastly, I did a couple images of the colors I wanted to use in my final logo.  Notice how there's a lot of teal in both palettes.  I may use warmer colors but we will see about that.
Initial Sketches:  Possible logos and logotype designs I made.  Note how I carried over the frog motif, graffiti, and lily pads.  I played with a couple designs incorporating a silly face I also associate with myself.
Initial Sketches of my designs for a possible resume, business card, cover letter, and reference.  I'm unsure what a reference and cover letter are supposed to look like, so I made the best of the situation and winged the designs.  I'll deal with better alternatives later on.
