The Nap-Sack was created in response to a playful brief calling for the creation of a Thneed, "a-fine-something-that-all-people-need", a highly versatile object from Dr. Seuss' The Lorax. The brief called for us to create a product addressing the needs of our clients. My clients, Sophia and Zoe, were two high school students who wanted something to make transporting their things to and from sleepovers easier. The Nap-Sack is a chic yet versatile set of products that function as a cushion, a laptop sleeve and a laptop bag. The cushion has concealed straps, an internal pocket for a laptop and accessories, and is reinforced with a felted lining. The separate laptop sleeve ensures the laptop is safe whether it's in the cushion or out. The Nap-Sack duo was created using plain knit, chunky rib and ombre dye techniques to create a simple and chic appearance.
