Layer.32 was a collaborative project created in my time as a student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. The project was inspired by the stresses that my group had noticed amongst all the college's students at the time and we wished to give these stressed individuals a place to release some of that stress through venting. We created the project as an anonymous group so that people may vent freely about their grievances without stressing about who knew what was being said. Visually we used the prebuilt grid format that Instagram has as the base of our imagery. We combined photography with vector and hand drawn elements with color filters to create dynamic and interesting posts. that work individually as well as in its grid. Once we gained 30 followers we made the effort to create stickers and hand them out to others to serve as free advertising as well as a way to show their support of the project as a whole.
