Akira (Beyond Red)
Akira, an anime movie released 40 years ago, recently had an anniversary run and a 4K release. I tasked myself with creating a branding project for it but it needed something beyond just the regular. After sifting through a plethora of images, I came to the conclusion that there was too much red in everything related to the movie. I decided to reverse that decision and find other colors scattered throughout the frames of the movie. The focus was to create a 40 year anniversary package that would be given to people going to the theaters to see the re-release as a token of appreciation for their support throughout the years.
