INFINITY PAVILION

This conceptual project focused on space, scale and architectural experience. The notion of infinity required detailed scrutiny of dimensional, mathematical, religious, philosophical and space-time concepts. It was, however, the short story 'Library of Babel'  by Jorge Luis Borges that assumed the lead role behind the concept. The notion of probability in an endelss pool of time pivotally defined the design.
Space is meant to create an illusion of inclusion, just like we are all a part of infinity, one should feel linked to the pavilion. Surfaces are finished in reflective materials, as such, the user may see a vague image of themselves in the structure. White has been chosen as the dominant colour due to its symbolic representation of rebirth and possibility.

The scale has been kept grand enough to strongly represent the concept while avoiding being too imposing. One may experience the structure through the interior and exterior. The infinite vortex on the inside is empowered through the endless reflections
of light and echo of sound.
