This assignment required students to create a drawing tool using the Processing language, and create graphical outputs on the theme, "what it means to be human". The drawing tool was also required to use a supplied source text in any way students wished.

My solution for the drawing tool was to create tree branches at random made from the source text.

These branches appear from a random position around the perimeter of the application window, and draw each character on a random angle from the last.

On click, each branch will decrease in size, and has the chance to continue as one branch, or split into two or three branches.

This will repeat to every branch tip on each click, until the minimum character size has been reached.

After creation, I found this was a useful tool for creating texture images to use with other programs in designs.
