The Hospital Bed
This Illustration came together while I was laying in a hospital bed, 13 years after the first time, I stayed in one.
It incorporates 3 perspectives on the scene, the child looking lost in the center, the girl in hiding looking against a wall and the spectator through the fish eye.
Like in many of my illustrations, there are Details hidden all through the Room. The song OZEAN by Annenmaykantereit set the mood for the illustration, and the lyrics of the German song really matched my current situation. It's shown on the signage.
The Displays next to the bed show a nature scene that includes one of my favorite places in this world, as the hospital therapist would say, my safe space.
