The main aim of this course was to design motifs that could be repeated multiple times to form a pattern on a long sheet of cloth. We first started by drawing inspiration for our collection by going out into nature and drawing. (Please check drawing from nature first :) )
 
This was my first repeat exercise! It is the simplest repeat; block repeat. Each motif is repeated once in each box.

Our next assignment was to pick a drawing we had done from nature and create a repeat pattern, so this is the image I chose:
We were to pick a store in Bangalore and design a product for them using this image and using a repeat. I chose to design a cushion cover for good earth, and I used an all-over repeat to achieve this pattern
After this we were asked to think of a theme for our final textile collection. My theme was dry fruits.
