As a photographer, one of the things I love to capture is the beauty of nature. I love being outside capturing all the different things about nature. From birds, to flowers, to the beauty of the Fall leaves on the trees. Photography is a passion and I believe that the purpose of art is to freeze moments, time, and space. There are many reasons why I love being a photographer. Being a photographer I feel at peace with life. Every image that I captured, there is always a story to tell.  I used Lightroom and Photoshop for my work.

Nature and all it's beautiful glory. Being outside and capturing nature gives me a very calming effect. When I can witness animals in their natural environment and capturing the beauty of each animal really warms me and calms me. Not just capturing the animals but also the leaves on trees to the bugs on the ground. The way the sun reflects the water and the way the rain adds ripples. Everything about nature is beautiful and capturing every moment is not only calming and peaceful but breathtaking.
A flower symbolizes proud, refinement, thoughtfulness and mature charm. The flower is such a glorious sight with it's most beautiful colors and sweet smells. flowers have this lasting beauty and such a happy life. Each flower has its own uniqueness and meaning. Capturing the beauty of flowers really makes me want to explore each flower, each left and petal and explore the different colors. A flower is not only beautiful, it's very delicate. Being a photography makes me happy because I can really focus and understand nature and its beautiful forms. Capturing not only the beauty of it but focusing on the lighting and the composition in my camera.
Fall is my favorite season because I enjoy warm clothes and sipping on hot apple cider. Not only that but I enjoy taking photos of the leaves changing colors, I find it very beautiful and crisp. Fall is the time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale. The Fall leaves, the sun - faded colors of the summer repainted with vivid reds, golds, orange and brown. I watch them still clinging fragilely to branches that would soon be covered with snow.
Why I love Fall
I Love the crisp air.
I love the way the sound of the leaves crunch beneath my feet.
Sweaters, boots, pumpkins and hot apple cider.
I love how beautifully the leaves grow old and how the full light and color are their last days.
The days get shorter and the weather gets cooler. Capturing the leaves as they change colors from green to red, orange, brown and yellow. Fall is my all time favorite season.
When I am spending time outside and capturing all these amazing things. I know that its never wasted time. So being a photographer, its not what I can see but rather what I can feel. So when I capture these, I see and appreciate the beauty in nature. Time is stilled and every delicate petal on a flower or leaf is explored when captured with a camera. Being behind my camera, I don't like to miss anything in nature.
While I am out with my camera capturing all the wonderful things about nature, I notice all the different things such as a hawk flying in the sky. I watched this hawk hatch and become a beautiful strong bird that it is. As I watch the hawk, I can see the beautiful sight as it is free in the sky enjoying everything from above.
Then as we start to change sessions from summer to fall, I begin to notice more of the leaves changing colors into a beautiful red. As the sun reflects the leaves, I can see more vibrant colors in them. Fall is one of my favorite sessions and I can't wait to capture of this beautiful session.

While out on a walk, I happened to capture more beautiful things about nature. Birds that are flying about and collecting bugs and such for the winter. One thing that has been capturing my eyes a lot more is the beautiful vibrant reds in the leaves as they change colors for autumn. As a photography but also an Art student at the Medicine Hat College, I begin to look closely at the colors in the leaves, the different shades of red. Some of the leaves seem more vibrant than others and its the really vibrant colors of red that seem to capture my eyes the most, I find them very breathtaking and bright. Red hasn't been a favorite color of mine but it sure is in the Fall because I find the red leaves sort of calming for me. Change as it might be, but I do find the vibrant colors of the red leaves very calming and peaceful. I would love it if the leaves stayed red all year around but sadly they only last for a bit then the cold winter months arrive. In my portfolio you will see more of my photography and might see tons of the vibrant colors of Fall but this gives you the opportunity to understand me and my eyes as a professional photographer.
The past few days have been so much fun and relaxing. I have witnessed the leaves changing colors more and they are so beautiful. Some of the leaves I have noticed are green on the ends and then in the middle they are red so just seeing the process of how the leaves change colors is so interesting and beautiful. Being a photographer, I am most happy behind my camera taking pictures of anything not just my clients but nature as well. Capturing animals in the wild from rabbits to birds and then flowers and leaves. Everything I capture always have stories to tell. In the summer I captured these beautiful flowers that I just loved. They were so bright and pink and there were huge trees of them, I couldn't resist taking the pictures and capturing the beauty in them. While taking pictures I used different lenses to capture each composition just so that there was a variety of different shots. The two lenses that I love using the most is my 50 mm and my 24 mm lens, they have captured such amazing shots and then editing them in Lightroom has really brightened them up and to capture the images I took made me very happy with the out come in the end. Every day I find out more reasons why I love being a photographer.
