Calculations

After deciding on a set of drivers and the according amplifier I calculated the inner volume of the enclosure and the according size and diameter of the reflex opening.

First iteration

with adjacent drivers and transmission line opening (left two pictures)

Second iteration

with adjacent drivers but with aluminum bass reflex opening
(top right, right picture)

Third iteration

with equally spaced drivers and centered reflex opening, for less exhaust noise and better air distribution in the enclosure.
Mounting

Drivers got mounted in double-thickness front "Firewall" with
threaded wood inserts and M5 Torx screws.
All openings and joints were glued, screwed and then sealed with silicone.
Finish

Inside painted in flat white for better light reflection for installed RGB-LED-Strips.
Top cutouts backed with 12 mm acrylic glass and sealed with foam tape and silicone.
Outside covered with spray glue, then high strength suede was applied.

Build of the 4U Amp and crossover enclosure

also built from medium dense fiberboard (MDF),
top slot free for additional air flow and cooling of the components
with the option to expand with one more 1U device.

Finished product
Later, wheels and edge protectors were added to prevent damage and make transportation easy.

The PA Set has since been used on many private parties and events.
(With added Mid, and High frequency drivers)
Thank you.
