The Infanta is the symbol of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, which sets the tune of the fashion week and determines its positioning in the media. Each year the Infanta personally remains unaltered, but her gown changes in accordance with the theme of the event.
A transparent gown, as a response to time-relevant request, creates a direct visual communication that expresses the ideas of sustainable fashion and upcycling – i.e., responsible design, self-aware consumption, as well as an attentive attitude to the safe-keeping of the environment. The look of the gown depends on the space where the media carrier is found. It creates multiple variations in its design and emphasises the mutual influence that the environment and the fashion industry overlay on each other.
