Humans and nature in balance that's what's important. Learning to figure out how to live within our means and find a balance between what we take from this world and what we leave. That's what I'm trying to explore in my sculpture.

To explore that sense of balance all of my sculpture is held together with primitive joinery. It's either held through pressure or gravity or a simple connective joint. It's important to do this because just like We need to hold balance between nature and human activity these cultures need balance between two competing forces in order to work.

When everything is in balance the piece just works. Like when everything is in balance our lives just work.
