Letters to Ultramarine installation at Landskrona

Letters to Ultramarine installation at Landskrona Photo Festival

Under (De)Construction was an exhibition, curated by Jenny Lindhe and hosted by the Landskrona Photo Festival, which brought together works from every participants from the third cycle of Parallel, a European platform for emerging photographers. The exhibition marked the end of the program, and it featured works developed by the artists over a year of work with the platform.

The exhibition featured an installation produced as part of the Letters to Ultramarine project, which seeks to investigate sources of discomfort that emanate from the urban, Latin American and middle class landscape. In the installation, two images from the Statue of Liberty series are presented printed in large format, on one of them the 4 images from the Bem-te-vi and Banana Tree series are projected in a loop. Above the images, a pair of headphones play a sound piece composed by musician Zaza, which combines poems of my own, political speeches, bird songs and other sound elements.
