Happy Diwali everyone!

For those not familiar, Diwali is the Indian festival of lights. It is one of the most popular festivals in India and is celebrated widely. Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, and people illuminate houses with diyas (small oil lamps), create rangolis, exchange sweets and, burst firecrackers to celebrate.

Pinterest reached out to various Indian artists to create festive artwork for their 2020 Diwali campaign. I designed this 3D mandala based on diyas and the shapes formed by their flickering flame, surrounded by an explosion of colorful Pinterest symbols.
