India is the land of superstitions and they are so deeply rooted in our culture that even after modernisation, they are still a part of our day to day life. In the past, these superstitions had a purpose, but in today’s time most of them seem to be illogical and unnecessary. This graphic novel revolves around the same theme of superstition. This a whimsical tale about Chameli Chachi, a super religious and traditional middle class woman and her arch nemesis, Black Billi, a neighbourhood stray black cat. The story showcases different scenarios related to superstition and depict how most of them can sound straight out bizarre and humorous, while also creating a sense of nostalgia.
