Dance Rotoscope | Motion Graphics

process 1: storyboards
Storyboards were used to determine the coreography and to map out the initial loop so that it seemed endless. Writing down notes on what effects to apply during key frames of the video.
Prepping the video for rotoscoping involves converting the video file into individual frames for tracing. Making sure to rename every layer to keep things organized.
process 2: rotoscoping
Being familiar with rotoscoping from a previous project, tackling an animation with a lot more frames was a personal challenge I was determined to accomplish. Layer naming was critical when referring to certain frames in my notes.
process 3: animated gif
As an added feature I also converted this to a seemlessly looping animated GIF file by adding approx 40 extra frames of animation. Stitching the files in After effects and importing them to photoshop for high qaulity animated gif creation that is superior to any web-based GIF makers.
