The EphPod - Technology to Connect PCs

Joe Masters holds a bachelor of arts in math and english from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, as well as a law degree from Yale University. An accomplished software developer, Yale graduate Joe Masters developed the EphPod, a computer software program that gained popularity in the early 2000s.

A Windows-based product that allows iPod users to sync their content with their PCs, the EphPod was created in 2001 to fill the void left by Apple’s proprietary software. Often, users wanted to use their own computers to manage their musical content, and the EphPod provided a free, user-friendly way to do so.

Through EphPod (pronounced eef-pod), iPod users could add songs to iPod sync-free. Since 2009, the application has partnered with CopyTrans, who continues to update its capabilities. The CopyTrans website page is kept up-to-date and offers tools that help users transfer music from iPads, iPod Touches, and iPhones to iTunes, as well as to copy music from a PC to an iPhone.
