Tori Marshall - Growing Pains
Part 3 of 6 of a very raw, intimate music project by Tori Marshall. To reflect this personal stance, I used Tori's own handwriting which she scrawled and scribbled along with doodles and abstract marks to illustrate the lyrics in the track. Each part of the project focusses predominantly on the continuous line drawing which develops throughout in combination with transitions which react to the beat.
Tori says:
“Fate’s been drawing a thin line between my pain and a lesson in life. So I pray that when this ends, fate has got it right.” Growing Pains. They’re unforgivingly painful, and yet beautiful. They’ve taught me to sit with change rather than run away from it. To listen to my body and trust it. Most of all, they’ve shown me that fate really did get it right. For this, I count my blessings every day."
