In this project I explored the colorful world and what it would be like with out color. I found pictures that have relatively bright colors and with the rectangle tool in Adobe Photoshop I selected the space I wanted to be absent of color. I adjusted the saturation to -100 and then adjusted the brightness and contrast to make sense with the photo. To finish the picture I mad minor corrections to the face with the blemish tool and I was done, I wanted a simple look that made an impact. The stark difference between the black and white next to the bright colors makes the highest impact of contrast. Making color out of a picture in my opinion does one of two things: 1) heightens the importance of the picture or 2) Strips the picture of its meaning. In my case without color these pictures would have less of a story to tell and would have no vibrancy to them leaving the picture with no story. I edited these pictures to show that seeing things in black and white changes them, but does not make them what you want to see.
