SimCityEDU Dashboards

Designs for the student- and teacher-facing web dashboards we are building to support SimCityEDU. SimCityEDU is a modification of the new SimCity game built to be used in middle school classrooms as a learning and assessment tool.

This is the 'mission stack' for students. Students launch the game and web-based learning challenges from this interface. They can review their scores, replay missions, and compare their performance against others in their class.
This is an example of the progress report found within the teacher dashboard. This visualization shows a teacher the progess each student has made through the entire project. The project is composed of 6 missions, and each mission is composed of a variable number of activities. The dark blue bars show a completed mission, while the lighter blue bar-segments show completed activities within the current mission. Teachers can mouse-over this report to see hover-tips with more detailed information on each activity or click-through to navigate to leaderboards and work products.
