Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. It is a day were you get to dress up, let your weird side out, show your creativity and just have fun! In honor of this holiday celebration at the end of the month I wanted to celebrate it by creating some icons. 

I started out by sketching out different things that come to mind when you think of Halloween. I wanted to make sure that I had a lot of options and ideas when it came to creating my icons. I wanted this because I know when it comes to creating things won't always go the way you planned out in your head. For this reason I think it is always good to have back up plans. 

I started out with my first draft of icons and just made them all very uniform in shape and in color. It had been a while since I did any sort of illustrator design and creations so I was keeping it simple. I put typing on the tombstone and bottles to get an idea of what I could do as I continued.

I continued to two each of the icons as I went towards my final. I got feedback to make them less uniform and more unique. You will still see some uniformities like in the eyes of some of the characters. I also worked on keeping all the colors the same if at all possible. I took out the typing and painted in the letters. Some icons like the wolf and Frankenstein I completely redid. While other ones like the witch and vampire I just tweeked and redid parts of it.
