My story was Hansel and Gretel. I started by creating the forest scene when they are lost and have to leave a trail. I put a gummy trail and added shadows. 

Next I added the children and shadows. 

I then added adjustment layers and changed the coloring to be darker. 

The final image had rocks spelling help out. I finalized the image by adding shadows and curves. 

I used a template of a house to build the candy house. I used the sticks from the image on the left to build the lines. I put the house in a bright area because to the hungry children, the house looked like heaven. 

Next, I added a nerds trail and put a girl skipping, but I ended up removing her. 

The final image had lighting adjustments and a cloud base underneath the house. 

I portrayed the scene after the witch captures and cooks the children. I added a caldron and a witch looking out in the distance. 

The final image included the stew. In my version, the witch is somewhat regretful and hasn't touched her soup yet. I used a steam brush to add the effects. I used a curves and levels layer to add lighting.
