President of Bennett Enterprises, PLLC, for over three decades, Bobby Gene Bennett, Jr., MD, graduated from Tupelo High School with honors, the University of Mississippi with a bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, and psychology, and received a Medical Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine where he served as class president. He then specialized in anesthesiology and pain management and retired in 2019 after practicing for over thirty years.

An academic scholar, he was the class president, commencement speaker and recipient of the highest honor at Tupelo High School as well as an Eagle Scout.
He was elected leader of the Campus Senate while at Ole Miss, and would later also serve as class president of his medical school class in Jackson, MS.
Upon graduation, he received specialty training in anesthesiology in Dallas, TX at Baylor University Medical Center and The University of Texas Southwestern, while also doing fellowship sabbaticals in Australia and France.

As an evangelical Christian and ordained deacon, he has travelled on numerous domestic and overseas mission trips, which he now does full time after his retirement from medical practice.
He also enjoys mentoring pre-Med students, lay counseling, sports, and outdoor endeavors such as camping and fishing.
