Artist's Book: The Story of a Line

The Story of a Line
The Story Of A Line is inspired from Dieter Roth’s Volume 8. It also borrows certain elements from Bilderbuch. It is an activity-based book which serves as a tool for storytelling based on the geometric concept of a ‘line’.

The reader is expected to make up a story as the cards start aligning the situations and conflicts. The cards have been made from OHP sheets. This gives the reader an advantage to invert the illustration as and when required. It also allows layering. There is no right and wrong arrangement of the cards. The whole point of the book is to play around with the visuals and allow fantasies, dimensions and skewed perspectives to take over. The book includes 16 cards. However, given the peculiar structure of the book and the activity, The Story of A Line will always, at best, be a prototype.
