For the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and Monterey Historic Races I departed from my typical style of photography which was "capture the whole car." I chose instead to make photographs that expressed the pain-staking intricacies of the automobiles, the spirit of the patrons, and the light and shadow of Monterey Bay.
