One of the biggest problem's that we face from the growth of the fast fashion industry is that it has allowed consumers to chose cost over quality, which has led to unsustainable methods and practice and therefore products. We need to consider how  we can create the journey from factory to consumer to be more sustainable.

brandNU is a sustainable fashion brand, who propose to introduce a new circular economy system within the fashion industry. It is an online based brand transforming second hand clothing, that would normally be discarded and sent to landfill, into new circular products that are designed to be brought back and turned from old to new, over and over again.

The idea is that all clothing produced will be as in season and on trend as any other fashion platform, but you have this USP of being sustainable for any which way that you look at it. If you are buying clothing, the only clothing available to purchase will have been made through a well refined circular production process, and if selling, you are contributing towards either that same production process, or sustainably recycling old garments that you probably would have thrown out otherwise.

Either way you are effortlessly becoming part of this circular community, and all whilst not compromising how you shop, as Lewin said, this is “the best way to create positive change, where people can behave better effortlessly” (Ellen Macarthur Foundation, 2019).

Promoting positivity and creativity through sustainable fashion will help to embed environmental concerns even further into our everyday lives. Sustainability is not a choice, it a necessity.
brandNU are providing the platform for the radical changes needed within the fashion industry, whilst expanding the desirability to be sustainable, shaping the future of our planet.
