The basic idea comes from the traditional Toraja house, namely Tongkonan, the traditional house of the Toraja people which has a curved roof resembling a boat, consisting of bamboo and wood structures, and the front is an arrangement of buffalo horns that rise as a sign that the owner of the house has held many parties or banquets. .
The buffalo horn on the house is the idea in this work. buffalo horn stylization due to the ornament / arrangement of buffalo horn in front of the tongkonan house symbolizes the economic capacity or social status of the house owner during the funeral ceremony of his family members. Every traditional ceremony in Toraja, such as a funeral, will sacrifice a large number of buffalo,
The buffalo horn is the inspiration for this work because for Toraja people, the buffalo is believed to be a vehicle for people who have died to go to the "PUYA" or higher realms or as a light to greatness.
The design of the lamp has a simplified horn arrangement with wood material, and the wood is processed with a cool bending technique. The wood used is sungkai wood and White Oak wood, and there is a container at the bottom that serves as a place to put things, such as wallet keys and other small objects.
