Project description: The goal of this project was to develop engaging illustrations that effectively communicate the gestalt principles of similarity, proximity, continuance and closure. All of these illustrations were completed using platelet typeface designed by Conor Mangat. Similarity: to communicate this principle of gestalt I used a combination of the letters x and y in a way that is engaging, and appealing.
Proximity: to represent this principle accurately it requires me to use the same character of the same size throughout the illustration, only grouping them my distance alone.
Continuance: to create this principle of gestalt I used a system of the letter v put together in a path that leads your eye from one end and off of the other.
Closure: to create this I started with the letters x and y and placed them around the perimeter. Then I placed two L's in the center to create a rectangular shape
