This twin sized bed was built for a toddler to grow into throughout their years at home. We incorporated a moveable step ladder that can be taken away as she grows older. We added rounded corners and a food-safe beeswax and mineral oil finish over the natural hardwood. 

 

Two to four underbed drawers made from Baltic Birch plywood are available to help organize things under the bed and make for efficient use of space. The drawers are constructed with traditional box joints and roll smoothly on dual durometer poly-wheels tucked into the drawer interior.

 

The bedframe disassembles with no tools for easy moving and assembly. Poplar hardwood slats fit over pegs to stay in place. The ladder has rubber feet to keep from sliding while in use. Felt protects the bedframe from the ladder brackets. Hardware was chosen for durability and ease of repacement.
