PIRAQUARA SCHOOL_2019
Project developed for Solar Decathlon Design Challenge which happened in April 2019, Golden, USA. I was part of the Paraná Team and we proposed a net negative school in the municipality of Piraquara, Paraná, Brazil. This underdeveloped community, with a lack of public facilities, would thus have access to a school that produces a surplus of photovoltaic energy, provides free access to the library, cafeteria, in addition to activities on the covered court. All the materials applied are from local resources, which facilitates transportation and optimizes energy costs. Also, the BIPV integration on the photovoltaic roof is an articulating element for all the architectural volumes.
