I worked on upcycling old, leftover stock of woven Kala cotton fabrics to create new apparel products for menswear and womenswear. Over a period of two months, the internship included local craft (costumes, embroideries) research, pattern making and managing sampling with the inhouse tailors and embroiderers.

The patchwork of different fabrics, forming the panels of this indigenous Kachchhi blouse, inspired the following collection.

The contemporary collection took a minimal approach in design, in order to suit an urban consumer. Details were borrowed from the local attire.
