Set of images used as a reference for art test. I always start with a wide variety of visual aids for inspiration.

Theme: Egyptian

1. HighSymbol–Cleopatra.
2. MidSymbol–Ankh.
3. LowSymbol-Ace.

First approach and selection process of proposals.

1. HighSymbol–Cleopatra: The first thing I did was define the pose and the frame that I wanted to work on. Some elements were removed along the way to improve the composition.

2. MidSymbol–Ankh: In this case, I first worked with some internal shapes of the symbol. I selected the ones that most caught my attention to make a color sketch.

3. LowSymbol-Ace:  I handled some typography and element options that could be put together to create the symbol.

Generally, when I start to make an illustration, I do it with a color palette in mind. However, if the project requires it, I make color adjustments in the process.

1. HighSymbol–Cleopatra: Definition of the elements and color approach.

2. MidSymbol–Ankh: Trace of the design and generation of the 3D extrusion in Adobe Illustrator.

3. LowSymbol-Ace:  Trace of the typography and the extra element.

Line cleaning process and final touches.

1. HighSymbol–Cleopatra: Assembling the final composition in Adobe Illustrator. Some elements were omitted to enhance the character's face.

2. MidSymbol–Ankh: Application of lights and textures. Some proportions were edited in the final symbol.

3. LowSymbol-Ace: Application of layer effects and textures.
