Frank & Boland are a law firm that specializes in workplace related cases. The Frank & Boland logo was designed to use typography to help project a regal confidence and professionalism. I chose Elephant as the foundation for the main FB characters because of the font’s strong and bold letterforms. Because of the elegant presentation of the ampersand and the old-style meets modern letterforms, Playfair Display was chosen as the primary font. I manipulated the F, B and ampersand to create an interesting spatial relationship between the characters. I decided to encapsulate the characters inside of a square to create visual focus and unity. A minimalist color scheme, with an emphasis on blue, was carefully chosen for the logo because it helped to reinforce the confidence and professionalism I was attempting to project.
