Mazda CX-5 brochure

The all-new Mazda CX-5 isn’t like anything you’ve ever experienced before as it includes a number of firsts for both Mazda and the global auto market. The new stylish SUV is a leap forward in Mazda’s evolution in terms of technology and aesthetic.

The brief was to showcase the release of this stylish new SUV as something special and keep some of the loyal Mazda customers feeling a part of the latest and greatest in the world of Mazda. It was to feel like more of a gift than a piece of direct marketing—a high-end brochure for VIP.

One of the iconic new design features of the CX-5 was the shape of the front grill. It was this feature which drove my design direction and I think has resulted in a sleek modern piece of print work. I have endeavored to lead the viewer through the interior spreads using inspiration from the front grill shape as a tool to seamlessly tell a story and highlight those features which are the most important. The grill shape also appears on the outer cover as a die-cut enticing the viewer and setting a tone for design and what’s to come.
