Design #107 | Word: MOVING | Moving season is here, but who is excited about it? This time last year, my sweetheart and I were overjoyed when we both decided to move in together. After months of searching and picking based on our budget, we found an affordable apartment. Lots of carrying and ups and downs the stairs, but we managed and loved our new place. Though we’re grateful for this lovely space and to continue living here for another year, seeing some neighbors and hearing stories of many people moving because of their unemployment is just disheartening. In an NPR article, I read, to those who have to relocate or survive in the upcoming months, with the $600 federal unemployment benefit is now gone, the question they always frustrate with is “Will there be a place to live?” This season of relocation seems strange and glitchy. My heart goes to those who suffer through these challenging times. We’ll go through this together.

Design #109 | Word: SKILLSHARE | Online learning platforms have become a significant domain for many knowledge lovers and skill apprentices, including myself, in the recent decade. Take Skillshare as an example! The site is a community of students, mentors, and instructors in multiple fields where teaching and learning are a perfect duo to memorize and amplify the theoretical or practical comprehension of a subject. As a graphic designer, having a curious mind is essential and motivating for me because it opens up to myriad possibilities. Hand-lettering, for instance, is my new territory of creativity. And SKILLSHARE is the word I choose to hand-letter.
