DABU
Dabu printing is an ancient mud resist hand-printed technique done using wooden blocks practiced in many parts of Rajasthan. Dabu, an intricate craft enhances the laborious beauty of dyeing and printing at several stages. Subtle and extraordinary prints are displayed on Dabu printed fabric which is made using natural dye. Geometric , flora and fauna are a major part of its motifs. The mud paste creates cracks, a vein kind of an effect which is similar to batik.
This is a bandana which I had made when I went for a workshop in Pipar - Yasin Block Print.
