Reverse: Tensile Structures

Can wire and fabric alone join to create an enclosed surface active structural system of spanning?

This is a expansion of the reed tensile structures series, also posted here online.

How do they work?
The forms below are created through the fabric to distributing force across its surface. The force is applied through the wire's desire to spring back. In this way, the form is the joint and the structure is seperate, rather than integrated into surfaces, as seen in wood construction.
Interrior Structure applies force perpendicular to the length of the form.
Exterrior Structure applies force parallel to the length of form.
40" cantalever possible.
Horizontal spanning and vertical supports explored.
