50x50x6cm, ,,Steps’’, interaktivni objekat – kombinovana tehnika, 2020.

50x50x6cm, "Steps", interactive object - mixed media, 2020.

On the white board, there are 24 small tiles, covered with sawdust, on which there are 2D and 3D shapes. The tiles are interconnected by a line - a path and represent a kind of puzzle - the observer is challenged to move the pieces - the tiles to reach the appropriate whole. The movement of geometric bodies - squares in one closed space, a square, which is a static shape and symbolizes stopping, a selected moment, is presented. Borders and freedoms are also being re-examined. The square is a symbol of matter, limitation, rest. Within the boundaries of the square, we have bodies that move, and that makes us think about whether we are moving freely or adhering to the given path and the given boundaries. The observer is given freedom of choice; whether he will adhere to the limits set by the author when reaching a solution or will he think outside the box.
