The first garden-tomb of the Indian sub-continent, this fine mausoleum was a leap in Mughal architecture that culminated in Taj Mahal 60 years later. This was modeled after Gur-e-Amir (in Samarkand, Uzbekistan) by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son Sayyid Muhammad 1569-70 on commission by Haji Begum, the first wife of Mughal emperor Humayun.

This project is a set of photos of my impressions of this fine mausoleum.
