Neko Rocker (Rocking chair)
Neko rocker is an elegant rocking chair designed to achieve comfort and relaxation. Its design resembles the abstraction of a cat, evoking interpretations of beauty and an intriguing sense of mischief.
The rocking motion of this chair is calculated to match the user's breathing pattern, ensuring a more holistic experience beyond just physical comfort. i.e., the backward motion is synchronized with inhalation, while the forward motion is aligned with exhalation.

Literature study
The motion of a rocking chair is related to one’s thinking. It blurs out the vision and encourages the user to turn away from the distractions of the outside world and instead concentrate on introspection.
In an ideal rocking chair, the user's breathing should synchronize with the rocking motion. i.e., the chair's arc should be designed to ensure that the user inhales while reclining back and exhales while coming forward.

The rocking motion causes our bodies to release serotonin and endorphin which are known to cause relaxation, mood stabilization, well-being, and happiness.

Design details
The overall form of the chair is crafted using only two basic geometries. circles and parallel lines. This is to maintain a theme throughout the design.
The base arc of the chair is calculated based on global anthropometric data using the formula, R = π*M. Where R is the radius of the rocker, and M is the height of the belly button from the floor when sitting.
95th percentile M = 20” - 28”
95th percentile R = 62” - 87”
95th percentile H1 = 15” - 20”
95th percentile H2 = 21” - 27”
95th percentile H3 = 46” - 58”
95th percentile L = 17” - 21”

The back of the chair has six (even) rods to ensure the head stays at the center. With an odd number of rods, the point of contact can become very small and can end up discomforting the user.
The structural frame of the chair is finished in a luxurious bronze color, adding to its elegance and drawing more attention to its beautiful form.
