NAMI
Nami is a dish rack that can hold a different variety of dishes and mugs. Wash and dry up dishes can be a dull rutine, but nami seeks to take advantage of the situation and make it a little better and fun. This is achieved by using the idea of placing dishes to dry into the sea. The metaphor created is used and represented by the drawing of waves moving next to a sea wall.
BEHIND THE PROCESS
In the beginning the only thing I had in mind was to create something "funny" by contrasting concepts. It came later in the middle of the night while washing dishes, the thought of how ironic would be left the dishes to dry in the sea. What came next was how to translate that metaphor into a real thing.
